Le Jardin des Amis

Welcome to Le Jardin des Amis, a small-scale holiday domain in the charming village of Meyrals, in the middle of the green hills of the Périgord Noir – one of the most beautiful regions of the Dordogne.

Our almost 4 hectare site, once a tobacco plantation, offers peace, space and nature. We live on the edge, here are also our seven charming gîtes (2–8 persons), grouped like a small village street. Here you will also find the heated swimming pool with a view of fruit trees, vast lawns and the forest, where with a bit of luck you can spot a deer! Our gîtes exude the charm of yesteryear, but are also equipped with modern conveniences such as Wifi, dishwasher and air conditioning.

We – a Dutch family – have recently become the proud owners of this idyllic place. Inspired by what we ourselves always looked for on holiday: freedom for the children, space to play and meet, and time to relax, we run this place with love, in the hope that others will enjoy it as much as we do.

Life here takes place mainly outside. By the pool, in a hammock between the fruit trees or quietly on your own terrace.

And when it gets dark in the evening? Then you admire a starry sky so clear as you rarely see.

For children there is plenty of space to play outside and explore. No animation program, but freedom, nature and an ideal environment for small and big adventures.

For adults, it is a place to catch your breath, read a book, have a chat or simply enjoy the peace. Are you traveling alone with your child? Then it is extra nice if there are other children to hang out with. We expect that they will find each other here naturally, so that you can relax too.

Don't forget to explore the area. The Périgord Noir is known for its castles, caves, medieval towns, local markets and delicious cuisine. From Meyrals you can easily reach Sarlat, Les Eyzies or the Vézère and Dordogne valleys - perfect for a day trip, a walk or a canoe trip.

Outside the high season we offer space for workshops and retreats, among other things.
